All I want for Christmas...
Paul Kouroupas — Tue, 11/25/2008 - 16:53
So much as been happening at the FCC around the twin issues of inter-carrier compensation and universal service and people have asked me why I haven't blogged on the topic more. There are many reasons for that. First, I have expressed Global Crossing's opinions directly with the FCC. Second, the inanity of the process compelled me to self-censor what was really on my mind. Third, the uncertainty of the process called into question the utility of commenting all together.
But we find ourselves once again at a point where it appears that there is a possibility that the FCC could act on the issues at its December 18th meeting. I am not holding my breath and wouldn't be surprised if the issue got delayed yet again or even killed all together, but it sure would make for a wonderful Christmas gift if the FCC actually issued a decision on this matter.
