GlobalCrossing 2.0

Gert, Nice to see something about Web 2.0 inside Global Crossing. I am working with some projects related to the European Field Ops Team. One of them is a wikipedia including geographic information. As you say, it is very difficult to convert the Autocad as-built documentation into coordinates suitable for Google or Yahoo Maps, so my first attempt includes sites location and display the fiber information using only key points. You can see a page describing a Spanish site into the intranet [ please do not post links to GC internal sites --the moderator] I am using Yahoo Maps because the Google free API can not be used from an Intranet, so the definition is poorer. I do not know if you have already created a "hobby developpers group" but it would be great to collaborate for a project like the one you say. Regards, Raul.

  • Easily link to terms in various wikis or other websites by typing [[prefix:term]]. Use the "|" character to create a "piped link," e.g., "[[w:public transport|public transportation]]" displays as "public transportation." For a full list of available prefixes and the websites to which they point, see interwiki.
