iPhone Europe
Thanks for your comment, Brandoni. I'm in total agreement with you that the iPhone will get handsome marketshare in Europe. Rather than features, lifestyle will indeed be the reason for this, so the success boils down to Apple's marketing capabilities, which was the essence of my blog.
Since they've succeeded in turning a mediocre mp3 player into a highly fashionable item, I'm sure they can do the same for a PDA with a mobile phone interface, which is basically what the iPhone is.
The other good thing is that this will trigger the competitors to further improve their phones and turn them into a lifstyle. Perhaps we'll get D&G, Puma, or Chanel phones, eventually.
From your "Ciao" it sounds like you're in Italy, the country that led the gsm revolution in Europe in the mid 90's. What's your view on getting rid of the keypad? Cheers, Gert.
