IP vs Ethernet

Your point about value-add applications such as VoIP, Video conferencing, VPN Remote Access, Internet Firewall is something I've been arguing for a while as well. The difference in the ease of implementing, say, vpn connectivity, between IP and ethernet is huge. You make good points about the futility of spending so much time and energy on ethernet. This is 2007! We should have moved past ethernet quite a while ago.

Use the "|" character to create a "piped link," e.g., "[[w:public transport|public transportation]]" displays as "public transportation."
